NOTARIAL LEGALIZATION
Ensuring Your Documents Are Official, Certified, and Legally Recognized
At Atmam Translator & Interpreter, I also assist clients who require notarial support for their documents whether for local use, submission to government institutions, or further legalization and apostille.
My notarial services are provided in cooperation with licensed Indonesian notaries and cover a wide range of needs including certification, authentication, and formal endorsements.
🔏 What Are Notarial Services?
Notarial services involve official certification or endorsement of a document by a public notary. This adds legal value and authenticity to your document and is often required before submission to government bodies (e.g. Kemenkumham, Kemenlu) or for international use.
🌍 When Are Notarial Services Required?
For documents being legalized for use in non-apostille countries (e.g. China, UAE, Saudi Arabia)
For foreign nationals preparing documents in Indonesia
For those who cannot provide originals and need certified copies
For personal declarations, affidavits, or consent letters that need legal standing
✅ Our Notarial Services Include:
📄 Certified True Copy (CTC)
A Certified True Copy is an official statement issued by a notary confirming that a photocopy matches the original document. This is commonly required for:
Academic diplomas
Identity cards, passports, family cards
Birth / marriage certificates
Business licenses
Court decisions or legal documents

🟢 Purpose: To avoid handing over the original document while still proving its authenticity.
🖊️ Waarmerking (Legal Witnessing of Private Documents)
Waarmerking is the process where the notary legalizes a private document (such as a statement, declaration, or agreement) by witnessing the signature and placing the official notarial seal.
🟢 Examples:
Company declarations
Parental consent letters
Affidavits
Private agreements
📌 Waarmerking does not validate the content, but confirms the identity of the signatory and the act of signing.
🏛️ Direct Legalization Before Notary
For documents that are not issued by a public body (e.g. Agreements, Contracts, etc.), legalization must begin at the notary. The notary certifies the document or signature, enabling it to proceed to:
Kemenkumham (Ministry of Law and Human Rights)
Kemenlu (Ministry of Foreign Affairs)
Foreign embassies (if required by the destination country)
🟢 This process is essential for non-public documents or documents that originate from individuals or companies.
